Texas Instruments

Texas Instruments is a semiconductor manufacturer focused on analog and embedded processing technologies. Its portfolio covers power management, amplifiers, data converters, interface and isolation devices, sensors, logic, microcontrollers, processors, motor drivers, RF products and other building blocks used in electronic systems. TI supports applications across industrial automation, automotive electronics, communications equipment, personal electronics, data-center infrastructure and other embedded markets.

For engineers, the brand is relevant across both signal-chain and power architectures: TI components can be used to sense and condition real-world signals, convert and manage power, move data between interfaces, and provide embedded control or processing. The company also maintains manufacturer documentation, design tools and technical resources for a large number of orderable devices.

HKEQGOO brand pages group Texas Instruments electronic components by exact manufacturer part number so buyers and engineers can compare the specific device, package and application fit required for a BOM. Product availability, date code and inspection requirements should be confirmed separately for each quotation.

Product Overview

ADS1220IPWR is the 24-bit member of the compact ADS12x0 sensor ADC architecture. It combines four-input muxing, a low-noise PGA, internal reference and two programmable excitation currents for precision resistance, bridge and low-level sensor measurement.

The extra nominal code width over ADS1120 is useful only if the sensor, reference, PCB leakage/noise and excitation network support it. TI specifies up to about 20 effective bits rather than implying that every 24-bit output code is noise-free.

The IDAC range starts lower than ADS1120, which can help high-resistance sensors or applications where sensor self-heating must be minimized. PWR is the 2500-piece TSSOP reel.

Functional Highlights

24-bit output supports finer low-rate precision work

The practical benefit appears in noise-limited measurements after choosing gain, data rate and reference architecture appropriately.

10 µA minimum excitation broadens resistance-sensor options

Lower sensor current can reduce self-heating while still supporting ratiometric measurement with an appropriate reference resistor.

Design Considerations

  • Base accuracy targets on noise/effective resolution at the selected rate and gain, not the 24-bit word length.
  • Calculate sensor self-heating and reference-resistor dissipation for each IDAC setting.
  • Protect high-impedance inputs from leakage and noisy digital routing.
