Texas Instruments

Texas Instruments is a semiconductor manufacturer focused on analog and embedded processing technologies. Its portfolio covers power management, amplifiers, data converters, interface and isolation devices, sensors, logic, microcontrollers, processors, motor drivers, RF products and other building blocks used in electronic systems. TI supports applications across industrial automation, automotive electronics, communications equipment, personal electronics, data-center infrastructure and other embedded markets.

For engineers, the brand is relevant across both signal-chain and power architectures: TI components can be used to sense and condition real-world signals, convert and manage power, move data between interfaces, and provide embedded control or processing. The company also maintains manufacturer documentation, design tools and technical resources for a large number of orderable devices.

HKEQGOO brand pages group Texas Instruments electronic components by exact manufacturer part number so buyers and engineers can compare the specific device, package and application fit required for a BOM. Product availability, date code and inspection requirements should be confirmed separately for each quotation.

Product Overview

UCC27712DR drives the high- and low-side N-channel switches of a high-voltage half bridge using a floating bootstrap channel. Its 620 V operating capability targets offline converters and motor/inverter stages well beyond the 100–120 V range of drivers such as UCC27282.

Built-in interlock and about 150 ns dead time prevent simultaneous high-/low-side outputs from being commanded on. That improves shoot-through protection but also fixes a minimum timing behavior that must fit the power switch and modulation strategy.

Negative HS tolerance is important during hard commutation when the switch node rings below COM. Bootstrap diode/capacitor sizing and negative-node transient control remain external design responsibilities.

Functional Highlights

High-voltage bootstrap channel supports offline bridge nodes

The floating HO output follows a hundreds-of-volts switch node while the logic side remains ground-referenced, avoiding a separate isolated driver in some non-isolated control architectures.

Fixed interlock/deadtime is protection and a timing constraint

It reduces accidental cross-conduction but can increase body-diode/freewheel conduction if the application needs shorter optimized dead time.

Design Considerations

  • Size the bootstrap capacitor from gate charge, leakage and maximum high-side on-time.
  • Check switch-node negative ringing against the HS safe-operating area, not only the +620 V headline.
  • Include the internal 150 ns dead time in modulation and switching-loss calculations.
