Product Overview
UCC27282DR is a fast 100 V-class half-bridge driver with an integrated bootstrap diode and ±3 A gate-drive capability. It is suited to synchronous bucks, motor stages, class-D amplifiers and telecom converters where the high-side node is far below the 600 V offline range.
The integrated bootstrap diode reduces BOM and parasitic loop area. Fast 16 ns propagation and about 1 ns channel matching help reduce dead-time uncertainty, but the SOIC-8 version does not expose the extra enable pin available in some package variants.
Negative HS tolerance and input interlock improve switching robustness around ringing, while bootstrap capacitor sizing still sets how long/high the high-side gate can remain driven.

Functional Highlights
Integrated bootstrap diode simplifies high-side bias
Fewer external parts and shorter charging path can improve layout, but bootstrap supply droop still depends on gate charge, leakage and duty cycle.
Fast matched channels support lower dead-time designs
Low delay mismatch can reduce unnecessary diode conduction, provided the controller/power switches are also characterized for worst-case timing.
Design Considerations
- Calculate bootstrap capacitance for worst-case gate charge and maximum high-side dwell time.
- Check SOIC-8 feature set rather than assuming enable functionality from the VSON package.
- Control switch-node ringing/negative undershoot through layout and power-loop design.
