Texas Instruments

Texas Instruments is a semiconductor manufacturer focused on analog and embedded processing technologies. Its portfolio covers power management, amplifiers, data converters, interface and isolation devices, sensors, logic, microcontrollers, processors, motor drivers, RF products and other building blocks used in electronic systems. TI supports applications across industrial automation, automotive electronics, communications equipment, personal electronics, data-center infrastructure and other embedded markets.

For engineers, the brand is relevant across both signal-chain and power architectures: TI components can be used to sense and condition real-world signals, convert and manage power, move data between interfaces, and provide embedded control or processing. The company also maintains manufacturer documentation, design tools and technical resources for a large number of orderable devices.

HKEQGOO brand pages group Texas Instruments electronic components by exact manufacturer part number so buyers and engineers can compare the specific device, package and application fit required for a BOM. Product availability, date code and inspection requirements should be confirmed separately for each quotation.

Product Overview

LM2903BIDR is the improved B-generation dual comparator intended as a drop-in upgrade path for older LM2903/LM393-family designs. TI specifically improves offset, bias current, supply range, response and ESD performance while retaining the familiar open-collector architecture.

The lower input bias and offset are useful in higher-impedance threshold networks where resistor current and source impedance would otherwise create measurable trip-point error.

Because the outputs remain open collector, the B version does not remove the need for pull-up design. The IDR suffix selects industrial-temperature SOIC-8 on a 2500-piece reel.

Functional Highlights

B-generation improvements reduce threshold error

Lower offset and bias current can tighten trip thresholds without changing the basic resistor-divider topology.

38-V-class rating expands high-voltage supervisory use

The comparator can monitor higher-voltage analog systems while the open-collector output is pulled up to a lower logic rail.

Design Considerations

  • Recalculate hysteresis thresholds if migrating from a legacy comparator with different input current/offset.
  • Keep the pull-up within output sink-current and logic-rise-time requirements.
  • Common-mode includes ground but still has an upper-rail limitation that must be checked.
