Product Overview
ADC128S102CIMTX/NOPB is the high-throughput sibling of ADC128S022, sampling eight multiplexed channels at 500 kSPS to 1 MSPS. It is selected when control, motor, waveform or fast scanner timing cannot tolerate the slower 200 kSPS class.
The faster conversion shortens acquisition time, making source impedance and input RC settling more demanding. A sensor network that worked unbuffered at 200 kSPS may not settle to 12-bit accuracy at 1 MSPS after a large channel step.
VA is the conversion reference as well as analog supply, so reference noise/decoupling remain critical despite the faster SAR core.

Functional Highlights
1 MSPS aggregate throughput improves scan latency
Eight channels can be revisited much faster, useful for multi-axis/control measurements, but per-channel rate is still the aggregate rate divided by the scan strategy.
Faster SAR acquisition raises driver requirements
Buffer settling, source resistance and anti-alias RC values must be chosen for the shorter sampling window.
Design Considerations
- Verify the input driver settles to 12-bit accuracy within the acquisition window.
- Budget per-channel sample rate after mux sequencing, not from the 1 MSPS headline alone.
- Keep VA low-noise because it defines conversion scale.
