Product Overview
The ADG918BRMZ-REEL7 is the tape-and-reel MSOP version of Analog Devices’ ADG918 absorptive SPDT RF switch. It functions as a 2:1 RF multiplexer and keeps the inactive path internally terminated, which differentiates it from the reflective ADG919.
The switch provides a 4 GHz -3 dB bandwidth, 0.8 dB typical insertion loss and 43 dB typical off isolation at 1 GHz while operating from a 1.65 V to 2.75 V supply. Its CMOS architecture draws less than 1 µA, making it suitable where RF path selection must add minimal static power.

Design Considerations
Because the inactive path is absorptively terminated, the ADG918 presents a different off-state impedance to a reflective SPDT device. This can reduce unwanted reflections in switched filters or receiver paths, but the system should still be checked under both switch states.
The part is functionally different from the SPST ADG901/ADG902 family. A board redesign that changes between SPST and SPDT devices must account for the extra RF path and control truth table, even when the supply voltage and package style are similar.
