Product Overview
The ADG902BRMZ is the 8-lead MSOP version of Analog Devices’ ADG902 reflective SPST RF switch. It shares the ADG901 family’s low-voltage CMOS architecture and DC-to-4.5 GHz bandwidth, but its off-state RF termination is reflective rather than 50 Ω absorptive.
That topology difference is the main selection issue. At 1 GHz the device offers 0.8 dB typical insertion loss, 40 dB typical off isolation and 17 dBm typical P1dB, yet the open-state impedance behavior is intentionally different from the ADG901. A design sensitive to mismatch, resonances or source load-pull should therefore choose between the two on system behavior, not on headline loss alone.

Design Considerations
A reflective off state can be useful when the disconnected path does not require a matched termination, but it can also produce a stronger impedance discontinuity than an absorptive switch. Check the source and load response in both switch states if the RF path contains high-Q filters or amplifiers sensitive to mismatch.
The device can pass a small DC component, but the documented limit still applies. Use DC-blocking components whenever the signal’s bias condition falls outside the switch’s specified direct-passing range.
