Product Overview
The ATA6836C-TIQW is the 28-lead SOIC ordering variant of Microchip’s ATA6836C protected hex half-bridge driver. It controls up to six loads through an SPI interface and integrates diagnostic functions for short circuit, thermal, undervoltage and open-load conditions.
The device is intended for microcontroller-controlled automotive actuators and other multi-load systems where protected high-side/low-side switching reduces external circuitry.

| Package | 28-lead SOIC |
Design Considerations
Daisy-chained SPI operation shifts data through multiple devices, so the word for the last device is transmitted first. This behavior should be included in firmware architecture and production test.
Use the complete datasheet for load-current and thermal design; the diagnostics do not eliminate the need to calculate package dissipation for the actual duty cycle.
