Product Overview
The LAN9514I-JZX is the industrial-temperature version of Microchip’s integrated four-port USB 2.0 hub and 10/100 Ethernet controller. It combines one upstream USB 2.0 interface, four downstream USB 2.0 ports and an Ethernet MAC/PHY in a single 64-pin QFN.
The exact I-JZX order code matters because Microchip defines this version for -40°C to +85°C operation. The commercial LAN9514-JZX uses the same 64-pin QFN family but is specified only for 0°C to +70°C. UniClock also allows a single 25 MHz crystal to serve the USB and Ethernet sections, reducing external clock components.

Design Considerations
The four downstream USB ports still require board-level VBUS power switching and overcurrent design appropriate to the selected power architecture. The hub silicon does not eliminate the need to design downstream-port power distribution correctly.
For industrial applications, preserve the I temperature suffix rather than substituting the commercial version only because the footprint is identical. Environmental qualification is part of the exact device selection.
