Product Overview
LP5012RUKR is a 12-channel constant-current RGB LED driver aimed at animated indicators rather than high-power illumination. Each channel has 12-bit PWM while RGB-module brightness and channel color values can be controlled separately, simplifying firmware dimming and color mixing.
The integrated phase-shifting scheme spreads switching edges between channels, reducing simultaneous current steps and audible/EMI stress on the supply. That is more useful in multi-LED HMI patterns than simply raising PWM resolution.
RUKR is the compact 3 mm WQFN large-reel option; exposed-pad assembly and thermal/ground layout must be production-qualified.

Functional Highlights
Two-level color/brightness control reduces software multiplication
Global RGB-module brightness can be changed without rewriting all individual color ratios, which simplifies fades and preserves color balance.
Power-saving mode fits always-on status lighting
When all channels remain off long enough, the device reduces quiescent current automatically; firmware can therefore keep I²C state without fully disabling VCC.
Design Considerations
- Set LED current from the allowed VCC/current range and thermal budget; 35 mA is conditional on VCC.
- Use phase-shift/bank features deliberately rather than updating all PWM channels synchronously.
- Follow RUK exposed-pad solder/ground guidance.
Product Status and Exact Order Code
