Product Overview
TMUX1108PWR expands the low-leakage TMUX110x precision architecture to eight selectable inputs. It is useful when one ADC or amplifier must scan many high-impedance sensor channels without adding significant DC leakage.
Dual-supply operation to ±2.5 V permits signals centered around ground, avoiding the biasing needed by a purely 0–5 V analog path. This is a real signal-range difference from many low-voltage single-supply multiplexers.
The 8:1 topology increases source-selection density but also adds routing/capacitance concentration at the common node. Acquisition time should be validated at the worst source impedance/channel transition.

Functional Highlights
Eight channels reduce ADC/front-end count
Channel density is valuable in multi-sensor DAQ, but throughput per channel falls as one converter settles and samples each source sequentially.
Dual ±2.5 V rails allow bipolar low-voltage signals
This can simplify precision bipolar sensor paths while preserving picoamp leakage and low charge injection.
Design Considerations
- Calculate per-channel sample time from total scan rate and worst-case settling.
- When using dual supplies, keep every source within VSS–VDD and verify control logic remains referenced correctly.
- Use guarding/clean PCB practices if source impedances are high enough for picoamp leakage to matter.
