Product Overview
DCR010505U/1K is a regulated 1 W isolated converter that generates a 5 V output from a nominal 5 V input. The internal transformer/rectifier stage is followed by regulation, giving a tighter output than the unregulated DCP02 family for isolated digital or mixed-signal rails.
The regulated output costs power capability: DCR01 is nominally 1 W while DCP020505 is a 2 W unregulated module. Selection therefore depends on whether the isolated load values regulation more than maximum available current.
Like DCP02, DCR01 provides operational isolation only. The 1 kVRMS one-second dielectric test and 60 VDC continuous barrier limit must not be interpreted as reinforced mains safety isolation.

Functional Highlights
Internal regulation reduces dependence on isolated-side load
A regulated secondary is useful for digital interfaces and analog circuits that would otherwise need an extra post-regulator after an unregulated isolated module.
Regulation and isolation class are separate questions
A well-regulated output does not change the safety classification. DCR01 remains a functional/operational isolation product and should not be the sole protective barrier in a reinforced-isolation requirement.
Design Considerations
- Check the 1 W power budget at maximum temperature/load; do not substitute it solely by matching 5 V input/output labels.
- Treat the barrier as operational isolation and keep system safety isolation separate where required.
- Follow input/output capacitor and layout recommendations to minimize ripple and startup issues.
