Product Overview
TMP117AIDRVR is a precision digital temperature sensor with a specified ±0.1°C maximum error from −20°C to 50°C and calibrated operation extending to 150°C. It is designed for applications where the temperature-sensor error itself must be small enough to compete with a precision platinum RTD implementation.
The device combines 16-bit conversion, selectable averaging, programmable alert, a digital offset register and 48 bits of general-purpose EEPROM. The offset feature is useful when a finished assembly has a known thermal-system bias that should be corrected without changing the raw sensor hardware.
Compared with TMP116, TMP117 gives tighter accuracy and higher maximum operating temperature; compared with TMP119, it trades the newer strain-tolerant WCSP implementation for a larger 2 mm WSON package.
