Product Overview
FUSB301TMX is a compact onsemi USB Type-C controller that can autonomously manage CC-pin attachment and role detection without requiring the application processor to execute the Type-C state machine continuously. It supports source, sink and dual-role operation, accessory detection and dead-battery sink behavior.
A dedicated SuperSpeed-switch control output can steer an external USB 3.x data switch according to cable orientation. That makes the FUSB301 useful when Type-C connection management is required but USB SuperSpeed routing remains in a separate analog switch.

Type-C Integration Considerations
FUSB301 manages the CC logic; it does not replace the separate power-path, protection or SuperSpeed differential switch required by the complete connector design. VBUS switching and USB 3.x lane routing should therefore be selected around the required power and data capability.
