74HC4051BQ,115 is the compact DHVQFN16 orderable of Nexperia’s 74HC4051 eight-channel analog multiplexer/demultiplexer. Three binary select inputs connect one of eight Y channels to the common Z node, and the enable input opens all switch paths when asserted HIGH.
The device is bidirectional, so it can be used as either an 8-to-1 multiplexer or a 1-to-8 demultiplexer. The QFN package is useful where the same 4051 switching function is needed in substantially less board area than a leaded SO16 option.
