The 4S designation is fundamental to this part. The MP26124 is not a universal one-to-four-cell charger; its voltage-control architecture and application circuit target four series Li-ion cells, so cell count must be matched before considering package or current capability.
The datasheet Recommended Operating Conditions state an 18-24 V input and a maximum junction temperature of 125 °C, but do not provide a complete lower-to-upper junction-temperature interval in that table. This page therefore does not invent a -40 °C lower endpoint.
