Product Overview

The 1ED020I12-F2 is an active Infineon EiceDRIVER isolated single-channel gate driver for IGBT and MOSFET power stages. It combines galvanic isolation with DESAT protection, active Miller clamping, active shutdown, short-circuit clamping, UVLO and READY/fault signaling.

Infineon currently exposes the complete orderable OPN as 1ED020I12F2XUMA1 while retaining 1ED020I12-F2 as the device identity. Procurement should keep the full OPN where packing and traceability are controlled.

Design Considerations

All VEE2 pins should be connected according to Infineon’s layout guidance even when a negative gate supply is not used. The DESAT path, blanking network and gate loop are high-dV/dt-sensitive and should be kept compact.

The driver’s current rating is not by itself sufficient to select gate resistance. Check the chosen IGBT or MOSFET gate charge, required switching time, Miller plateau behavior and fault turn-off energy.
