Product Overview
TMP1075DGKR is an 8-pin digital temperature sensor aimed at upgrading LM75/TMP75-style designs without giving up the familiar pinout and register model. It extends that form factor with lower power, broader address selection, reset/alert functions and improved accuracy.
The DGK variant retains three address pins and can support up to 32 addresses, which is useful on boards with many local temperature points. It also retains programmable conversion-rate settings and device identification that are not present on the smaller TMP1075N orderable.
Its 1.7 V to 5.5 V supply range makes it convenient in mixed 1.8 V/3.3 V/5 V systems while keeping the digital sensor independent of an ADC reference.

Functional Highlights
Upgrade value comes from compatibility plus lower power
A legacy xx75 socket can gain lower average current and additional digital features without moving to a completely different software model. Compatibility should still be checked against the exact existing pin strapping and register use.
32 addresses suit dense monitoring networks
Three address pins provide far more same-bus placement flexibility than many 6-pin temperature sensors, reducing the need for I²C multiplexers in multi-zone boards.
Design Considerations
- Confirm the existing LM75/TMP75 design uses compatible pin functions and registers before treating it as a drop-in upgrade.
- Use the programmable conversion rate to balance thermal response against average supply current.
- Maintain clean local decoupling and avoid routing high-current heat sources through the sensor copper area.
