Engineering Selection Guidance
MP6005 does not define one fixed output voltage because it is a controller rather than an integrated fixed-output converter. Output voltage depends on transformer ratio, external switching elements and the feedback/regulation network, so a BOM comparison should not invent an output-voltage range from the controller alone.
Primary-side regulation and secondary-side regulation are different operating architectures. In PSR flyback, the controller senses a primary-side auxiliary winding to avoid the optocoupler/TL431 feedback path; in SSR, secondary feedback is used and the synchronous driver can improve efficiency in active-clamped forward designs.
Protection includes hiccup behavior, overload, short circuit, output over-voltage and thermal shutdown. Frequency dithering is provided for EMI reduction. The exact GK-Z part is the MSOP-10 tape-and-reel orderable.
