Product Overview
MP26123DR-LF-Z is an active MPS 600 kHz buck charger for two- or three-series-cell Li-ion battery packs. It uses peak-current-mode control and an external current-sense resistor to set charge current up to 2 A, while separate loops regulate charge current and final battery voltage.
The device also integrates preconditioning, status indication, programmable timer, cycle-by-cycle overcurrent protection and battery-temperature monitoring.

Charger Design Considerations
Input voltage must stay sufficiently above the multi-cell battery voltage for buck charging. Inductor, sense resistor and thermal layout determine practical 2 A performance and should be selected from the exact battery-series configuration.
