ADM3053BRWZ-REEL7 is an isolated CAN physical-layer transceiver that integrates iCoupler signal isolation and an isoPower isolated dc-to-dc converter. It creates a galvanically isolated interface between a CAN protocol controller and the physical bus without requiring a separate isolated power module for the transceiver side.
The device supports CAN data rates up to 1 Mbps. VCC operates at 5 V while VIO can be 3.3 V or 5 V, which is an important interface detail when a 3.3 V controller must communicate with an isolated 5 V CAN transceiver stage.
