Product Overview
The MCP1701AT-3002I/CB is the 3.0 V, 2% industrial-temperature SOT-23A version of Microchip’s MCP1701A low-quiescent-current LDO family. Its roughly 2 µA typical ground current makes it suitable for low-duty-cycle and battery-powered circuits where regulator standby loss matters.
Microchip marks the MCP1701 family End of Life. Existing designs can still require this exact orderable, but new procurement should treat lifecycle status as a first-class constraint and verify available supply or a qualified redesign path before committing long production runs.

Design Considerations
Output-capacitor value and ESR must follow the MCP1701A stability requirements. A nominal 1 µF capacitor can lose effective capacitance with DC bias, especially in small ceramic packages.
The 10 V input ceiling does not imply that large input-to-output drops are thermally practical at high load current. Verify junction temperature from package thermal resistance and the real VIN−VOUT dissipation.
