Product Overview
The TDA22590XUMA1 is Infineon’s 90 A integrated smart power stage for high-current processor and memory rails. It combines the gate driver, high-side and low-side MOSFET functions and monitoring features in a compact OptiMOS 6 power-stage package.
The device supports a wide operating envelope for modern CPU, GPU, FPGA and DDR power delivery. Infineon specifies up to 90 A output current, switching frequencies from 200 kHz to 2 MHz and a 4.25 V to 16 V input-voltage capability in the feature set. Integrated current and temperature reporting reduce the need for separate sensing functions around the stage.

Design Considerations
At 90 A, layout parasitics and thermal spreading are system-level design constraints. The controller-to-stage PWM/telemetry routing, input decoupling and output-current path should follow the recommended package land pattern and current-loop layout.
The smart-stage telemetry is useful only when the multiphase controller expects the same scaling and signaling behavior. Current-sense gain, temperature-output scaling and fault logic should be matched to the controller configuration rather than treated as generic analog signals.
