Product Overview
The GTCS26-351M-R05-2 is the surface-mount tape-and-reel implementation of Littelfuse’s 6 mm two-electrode GTCX26 gas-discharge-tube family with a nominal 350 V DC sparkover rating. Its exact part-number fields identify the 350 V voltage code, ±20% tolerance, R05 5 kA surge class and surface-mount package form.
For the 351M voltage code, Littelfuse specifies maximum impulse sparkover of 900 V at 100 V/µs and 1000 V at 1000 V/µs. The device family also combines a 5 kA 8/20 µs surge rating with less than 1 pF capacitance, which is useful where transient protection must add very little shunt capacitance to a signal line.

Design Considerations
A GDT normally sits above the protected circuit’s normal working voltage, so the 350 V nominal sparkover and ±20% tolerance need to be coordinated with both the maximum continuous voltage and the downstream clamp/protection stage. The impulse sparkover voltage is much higher than the nominal DC value during fast transients and should be included in insulation and secondary-protection analysis.
The -2 suffix is a packaging distinction for the surface-mount tape-and-reel form. Preserve that exact order code for automated assembly and sourcing rather than collapsing it to the base GTCX26 family.
