TPS2051CDBVR is the newer 0.5-A USB power-switch generation with tighter fixed current limiting, fast overload response, reverse-current blocking and output discharge. It is optimized around the 5 V USB supply range rather than the broader 2.7–5.5 V range of TPS2051B.
Reverse blocking helps prevent an externally powered downstream node from feeding current back into the upstream 5 V rail. Output discharge actively brings the port down after disable, which can improve deterministic power cycling.
