Product Overview
TPS22975DSGR is a high-current low-RON load switch for processor, SSD and telecom subrails. A separate VBIAS supply lets the internal gate drive maintain low resistance even when the switched VIN rail is as low as 0.6 V.
At 6 A, the 16-mΩ typical resistance still produces significant conduction heat, so exposed-pad layout and copper spreading are essential. The current rating is only useful when the board thermal design supports it.
The separate bias rail also changes sequencing considerations: VBIAS availability and control logic must be considered independently from the switched VIN domain.
