Product Overview
TPS22919DCKR is a self-protected compact load switch that combines a 1.5-A normal load rating with output-short protection and extremely low off-state current. It fits small consumer/embedded rails where fault robustness and battery standby matter together.
Turn-on slew is intentionally slow and internally controlled rather than externally programmed with a CT pin. That simplifies the BOM but gives less freedom to tune startup time than TPS22918/TPS22917.
The SC70-6 footprint is smaller than SOT-23-6 alternatives, but board copper and package heating still need to be checked under sustained high load or short events.

Functional Highlights
2-nA off current suits aggressive rail gating
A disabled peripheral can be isolated with very little residual switch leakage, useful in long standby modes.
Integrated short protection adds fault containment beyond a bare load switch
The output is protected against a hard short instead of relying only on thermal shutdown after excessive current.
Design Considerations
- Verify the fixed turn-on timing is acceptable for load capacitance and sequencing requirements.
- Treat the 3-A short-protection figure as a fault behavior, not a continuous operating current.
- Check SC70 thermal rise at the actual 1.5-A duty cycle.
