Product Overview
REF2025AIDDCR provides both a 2.5 V reference and a tightly tracking 1.25 V midpoint bias from one five-pin device. This is especially useful in single-supply ADC front ends that must bias bipolar sensor signals around midscale.
Generating VREF/2 with a resistor divider and buffer can add ratio drift and extra noise. The REF20 architecture specifies both outputs together and controls their temperature tracking, reducing error in biased differential measurements.
Very low dropout allows the device to operate from a supply only slightly above the 2.5 V reference. The exact AIDDCR code is an active 3000-piece thin-SOT reel with marking GACM.

Functional Highlights
Matched midpoint output simplifies bipolar sensing on a single supply
VBIAS provides the ADC midscale bias without a separate divider/op-amp whose drift might not track the reference.
Low dropout makes precision reference possible on low-voltage rails
A battery or 3 V-class system can maintain a 2.5 V reference without the high headroom required by older reference families.
Design Considerations
- Keep load currents on VREF and VBIAS within the conditions needed for accuracy/tracking.
- Route the bias and reference separately from noisy digital return currents.
- Include reference drift plus tracking drift according to whether absolute scale or bias symmetry dominates the measurement.
