Product Overview
TPS22918DBVR is a low-voltage 2-A load switch optimized for lower conduction loss than ultra-low-leakage parts such as TPS22917. Its 52-mΩ-class RON reduces rail drop and I²R heating when a peripheral draws meaningful current.
The CT pin controls turn-on slew so inrush into downstream capacitance can be shaped without adding a discrete MOSFET gate network. QOD is separately configurable for turn-off behavior.
Unlike TPS22917, the main selection story is low RON and simple 2-A rail control rather than true reverse-current blocking or nanamp shutdown leakage. Those features should not be mixed across the two families.

Functional Highlights
Low RON preserves low-voltage rail headroom
At ampere-class load current, tens of milliohms can materially reduce voltage drop compared with higher-resistance low-leakage switches.
1-V-capable logic eases always-on controller interfaces
A low-voltage GPIO can sequence a higher peripheral rail without an external level shifter.
Design Considerations
- Calculate inrush from CLOAD and selected CT ramp time.
- Include worst-case RON and ambient temperature in the rail-drop/thermal budget.
- Do not assume TPS22917 reverse-blocking behavior on TPS22918.
