Product Overview
HDC1080DMBR integrates calibrated humidity and temperature sensing into a 3 mm WSON for HVAC, room monitoring and embedded environmental measurement. Its broad 2.7–5.5 V supply range fits both 3.3 V and 5 V legacy control systems.
The sensor is optimized for low average power: sleep current is in the 100-nA class and one-sample-per-second operation can remain in the microamp or sub-microamp range depending on selected resolution and measurement combination.
Humidity accuracy depends on the physical environment around the sensing opening. Flux, solvents, conformal coating, dust and sustained condensation can matter more than digital interface accuracy if the package exposure is not handled correctly.

Functional Highlights
Factory calibration reduces board-level calibration work
The host reads digital RH and temperature values without needing an external ADC or individual production trim for the sensor element.
Wide supply range simplifies retrofit designs
HDC1080 can fit systems where a newer 1.8-V-class sensor rail is not available, while still supporting low-power periodic measurements.
Design Considerations
- Keep the sensing area exposed to representative air and away from heat-generating components.
- Avoid cleaning/coating processes that contaminate or seal the humidity opening.
- Allow enough thermal settling time after MCU/radio activity before interpreting temperature as ambient air temperature.
Product Status and Exact Order Code
