Product Overview
DAC5571IDBVR is a compact single-channel 8-bit DAC for simple bias, set-point and trim outputs controlled over I²C. The output full scale follows VDD, so no external reference pin is required.
The high-speed I²C interface and double-buffered register support fast digital updates, but the 8-bit code depth remains the main precision limit. It is therefore best suited to coarse adjustment, calibration or actuator set points rather than fine instrumentation output.
A0 allows two DAC5571 devices on one bus. The DBVR suffix is the 3000-piece SOT-23 reel, useful for space-constrained embedded designs.

Functional Highlights
VDD-referenced output minimizes pin count and BOM
For ratiometric or nonprecision set points, using the supply as full scale can be simpler than adding a dedicated reference.
Fast I²C is useful even for an 8-bit DAC
Quick register writes help control loops and production calibration routines despite the limited code resolution.
Design Considerations
- Treat VDD noise/drift as output gain error because the DAC full scale tracks the supply.
- Check that 256 codes provide enough adjustment granularity.
- Reserve the A0 address state before placing two devices on one I²C bus.
