Product Overview
TPS22810DBVR is a wide-input load switch for rails up to 18 V with controlled slew rate and adjustable output discharge. It is well suited to sequencing, inrush control and disconnecting industrial/consumer subrails.
The DBV package is the 2-A continuous-current version. TI rates the leadless DRV WSON version to 3 A; copying that 3-A headline onto TPS22810DBVR would overstate the exact SOT-23 order code.
CT lets the designer slow the output ramp to reduce inrush into large downstream capacitance. The QOD path can then define how quickly that rail discharges when turned off.

Functional Highlights
Wide 18 V input covers rails beyond USB/5-V switches
The same load-switch architecture can sequence 12 V-class subrails without a discrete external MOSFET gate circuit.
Adjustable slew rate turns inrush into a design parameter
Large capacitive loads can be charged at a controlled dV/dt so the upstream rail is less likely to droop.
Design Considerations
- Use the 2-A DBV package current rating, not the 3-A DRV rating.
- Choose CT from allowable inrush current, load capacitance and startup-time budget.
- Check QOD discharge energy/current against the downstream capacitance and any shared rail source.
