Texas Instruments

Texas Instruments is a semiconductor manufacturer focused on analog and embedded processing technologies. Its portfolio covers power management, amplifiers, data converters, interface and isolation devices, sensors, logic, microcontrollers, processors, motor drivers, RF products and other building blocks used in electronic systems. TI supports applications across industrial automation, automotive electronics, communications equipment, personal electronics, data-center infrastructure and other embedded markets.

For engineers, the brand is relevant across both signal-chain and power architectures: TI components can be used to sense and condition real-world signals, convert and manage power, move data between interfaces, and provide embedded control or processing. The company also maintains manufacturer documentation, design tools and technical resources for a large number of orderable devices.

HKEQGOO brand pages group Texas Instruments electronic components by exact manufacturer part number so buyers and engineers can compare the specific device, package and application fit required for a BOM. Product availability, date code and inspection requirements should be confirmed separately for each quotation.

Product Overview

INA194AIDBVR provides 50 V/V fixed gain while sensing shunt voltages on buses from −16 V to +80 V. The common-mode range is independent of its 2.7 V to 18 V supply, allowing the measurement circuit to survive and measure bus conditions far outside the controller rail.

Compared with INA193, INA194 doubles-and-a-half the voltage gain from 20 V/V to 50 V/V, reducing the shunt voltage needed to use a given ADC range. The tradeoff is lower bandwidth: 300 kHz rather than 500 kHz.

INA194 uses the family’s pinout #1. INA197 has the same 50 V/V gain but pinout #2, so it should not be treated as a PCB-compatible substitute simply because the transfer gain matches.

Functional Highlights

50 V/V reduces shunt loss for a given ADC span

A smaller VSENSE can produce the same output amplitude as INA193, allowing lower shunt resistance and dissipation. Offset becomes a larger percentage of the signal as VSENSE is reduced.

Below 20 mV, common-mode-dependent behavior becomes more important

TI specifies a separate low-VSENSE region. This matters precisely in low-loss designs that use a small shunt, so error should be evaluated at the real minimum and nominal current rather than only at full scale.

Design Considerations

  • Build the error budget at the actual VSENSE range, especially below 20 mV.
  • Check maximum output against V+ headroom; the 50 V/V gain can saturate quickly with large shunt drops.
  • Keep the pinout #1 requirement explicit if comparing with INA197.
